Heimdal Studio® is a global multi-disciplinary and independently owned design studio, with a home base in Los Angeles, California.

Our work encompasses digital design & product innovation, research, strategy, creative direction, user experience design, visual systems, development, motion and sound.

Our model is unique. We are committed to disrupting the traditional agency model, in order to maximize the value our clients get from working with our top-shelf teams in a fully flexible structure.

Our team is comprised of seasoned industry makers only, who are experts in their craft, and operate in lean hands-on teams, tailored for every project. We have no overhead and have removed the bloat of traditional studios, allowing you to work directly with the best digital talent in the world, in a much more flexible setup.

Leadership

Jacob Grubbe
Founder & Design Director

Originally from Denmark, Jacob has over 20 years of experience in building impactful digital products and experiences. Following his role as Design Director at Fortnite, Jacob now leads the creative team at Heimdal. Jacob’s contributions to companies and products such as Fortnite, Riot Games, Stink Studios, DDB & TBWA\ has touched the lives of hundreds of millions of users, and improved internal processes for hundreds of team members. His work has won countless awards, and he continues to be passionate about making an impact through thoughtful leadership, solutions and a meticulous craft.
