OGA

2025

We partnered with One Earth Rising to transform OGA, a cross-game collectors platform, from raw concept to an investor ready product vision that secured funding, a $10M valuation, and a faster path to MVP.

Project information

One item. Many worlds. That was the ambition behind OGA, a cross-game collectors platform where players unlock, own, and use digital assets across multiple gaming ecosystems.  Through an immersive product first brand identity and platform experience with an underlying retention engine, Heimdal Studio helped turn One Earth Rising™’s vision into an investor-ready solution with a clear, de-risked roadmap.

Since our engagement, OGA has secured additional funding, set a $10M valuation, locked in massive brand partnerships and delivered a 1567% return on design investment. The founders did the hard work in the room. Heimdal's role was to turn a complex, future-facing idea into a tangible and inspiring product experience. Outside of foundational IA & UX design, this meant developing 3 key solutions:

Challenge

Cross-game ownership is easy to get excited about and hard to design for. For OGA to work, it needed:
– A behavioral system that could keep players engaged across multiple titles.
– An interaction model that made digital ownership feel special, not transactional.
– A brand and UI system that could hold wildly different IPs without turning into noise

The challenge was to translate a complex, future facing concept into something investors could actually feel, evaluate, and underwrite, while giving the product team a de-risked roadmap for their MVP and beyond.

Approach

We treated OGA as an ecosystem, not just a marketplace. Our work spanned brand identity, information architecture, cross-game battle pass design, core loop architecture, UX and UI, motion, and the web experience.

Architecting the behavioral engine first

We started with the behavioral backbone. That meant defining the core loop, cross-game battle pass mechanics, and progression logic that define how OGA creates motivation and reward over time. If the behavioral engine is weak, everything else is decoration.

Designing moments that feel meaningful

Unlocking, earning, and trading needed to feel like impactful events, not just state changes in a UI. Micro interactions, VFX and motion studies turn “just another asset” into something that feels owned, earned, and worth collecting. These details rarely show up in a pitch deck, but they quietly decide whether a product sticks once it launches.

Building a system that can hold many worlds

OGA has to support dramatically different IPs without losing cohesion. We designed an adaptive brand and UI system that can flex to anime, sports, shooters, and beyond, while still feeling like a single connected platform. By prioritizing narrative integration, each universe can feel at home in OGA, while still clearly belonging to a larger ecosystem.

Outcomes
– OGA has ecured additional funding.
– Set a $10M valuation.
– Established multiple brand partnerships.
– Achieved a return on design investment of 1567%.
– De-risked their roadmap and kicked off MVP development.
